This is a VERY SCARCE, UNMARKED, Antique Fenton ORANGE TREE COMPLETE 7 Piece Water Set made in the early 1900's.
The base glass color is BLUE. This set has NO makers mark! This is no reproduction set. An extremely beautiful example too for your consideration.FAR, FAR above average for the pattern, shape and base glass color. As the photographs clearly show, the Water Pitcher is absolutely loaded with magnificent eye appeal featuring ELECTRIC Blue and Purple highlights and Super Rich Rainbow Multi-Color inside and out. Ultimately attractive from any angle. The ever so elegant, highly prized floral pattern details glisten and sparkle with pure zest as natural light strikes the display surface.
Extraordinarily pleasing to say the very least. It sure makes the set stand out in a crowd and attract lots of attention.
If you have been looking for one of these elegant sets, in BLUE base glass, one with gorgeous visual characteristics and awesome glistening properties throughout... Take a darn good look here. Please see the photographs and enjoy... I have showed as many angles and iridescent features as I can cram into 12 photographs. Dark areas in the photographs are shadows or reflections only.
This is a super opportunity to own an absolutely Fantastic COMPLETE set! So beautiful, so elegant and darn difficult to find in BLUE, especially with iridescent characteristics this strikingly beautiful.
Look it over and give it serious consideration. A truly elusive, absolutely phenomenal set of Antique Fenton Glass. Again there is no makers mark at all.It is antique Fenton at its finest. Every bit as Ultra Rich and Ultra Beautiful as the photos show. My photos are taken outside in natural indirect sunlight. I never use a flash or props. I never enhance photos, never have, never will. I aim to show you the best iridescent color the piece offers. If the piece looks awesome in the photos... What you see is what you will get! The Water Pitcher is 8 1/2 inches tall at the tallest point. It is 7 7/8 inches wide including the spout and handle. The tumblers are 4 1/4 inches tall. There are NO CRACKS or REPAIRS on this VERY ELUSIVE, Super Rich and Extremely Colorful Antique Fenton COMPLETE 7 Piece Water Set. A Fabulous piece of this fine antique glass! THE BASE: The mold seams on the base are nice and smooth.
I can make out just very slight shelf wear on the bottoms of the feet on the Pitcher. The Tumblers do no show any wear at all which is extraordinary.PHOTOS 10 and 11 show that on the bottom of one of the feet on the Pitcher, there appears to be a shallow flake on the very bottom, that same foot has a small flake on the edge. The other photo shows that on another foot, there is a small shallow flake. The flake on the bottom could very well be manufacturing roughness where it was pulled from the mold, as it completely glossy. Where actual chips are dull. In any case, it is there. If you know this glass well, and have handled enough of it, you know darn good and well that 95% of these pieces have some short of damage to the extended feet. The feet on this set, overall, are FAR above average. The Tumblers, for instance, are simply incredible with one tiny, pen-head sized flake on the bottom of one foot...
Truly incredible for these fine old sets! You'll be hard pressed to EVER find an entire set more beautiful or in better condition that this one! The pieces sit flat and level on a flat surface. THE INTERIOR: The interior display surfaces area all very clean and as the close up photographs show... They are in absolutely extraordinary condition.I can't make out any wear at all on any of the pieces. Truly exceptional for this shape, pattern and this antique glass in general. The interiors look as if none of them have ever been used for anything but display throughout their very long life. The interior of the Water Pitcher is incredibly Gorgeous! Certainly the interiors of this stellar set do nothing but enhance a phenomenal overall presentation. THE EXTERIOR: I can't make out any wear to the exteriors at all with is remarkable. The Water Pitcher, all the way around the, the iridescence is Super Rich and Exceptionally Colorful... The most beautiful Pitcher I have put my hands on.
The superior iridescent colors are further enhanced by the glistening properties realized as natural light strikes the display surface at any angle. In terms of this sets overall Gorgeous iridescent beauty... The shelf presence is absolutely SPECTACULAR! A mighty impressive set of Antique Fenton Glass!
You will be hard pressed to EVER find a finer set in iridescent splendor or condition. THE EDGE: The Edge Treatment on the pieces are all very well done. The spout and handle are well formed. The pitcher shows great balance overall. The photographs clearly show, in total, just how well this Magnificent Set has been taken care of over the last 100 years. If you know this glass well, and have handled enough of it, you know these sets are prone to a lot of damage. The condition of the this set is FAR, FAR above average and the iridescent splendor awesome! As nice as you'll likely ever see.
It was absolutely kept as a show case set without a doubt. Opportunities to own these at all seldom ever come along... Especially this beautiful, in this kind of condition! A truly elusive, Spectacular COMPLETE set of antique Fenton and a superb example of this century old glass. That is all I can find on this VERY SCARCE, Vibrant, RICH and Exceptionally Colorful Antique Fenton COMPLETE 7 Piece Water Set.
A very impressive example of this very elegant and highly prized pattern, shape and base glass color. If you have been searching for a stand out set in BLUE base glass... Here is a fabulous example with Magnificent iridescent properties and sharp glistening features.
Talk about making a statement on display... Certainly its a set that will add awesome visual appeal and interest to your display as well as excellent dollar value. It is every bit as Elegant and Strikingly Gorgeous as the photographs show! I fully intend it to be that way, no glitz and glamour.I find it completely fascinating. There is nothing else like it in the world of antiques... The historical pieces I sell are part of our history, as a country, and made right here in the good ole' USA unless I state otherwise. They represent a time when America made things, great things... Before it was popular to sell this country out! The photographs say it all! Nothing else needs to be done or said. I do my best to point out damage or wear issues with the pieces I offer. True antique glass always has some manufacturing marks. It was made a century ago and mass produced... Well before quality was an idea. Well before Cell Phones, Computers or any technology at all. It is hard for people to comprehend that today, but it is fact. The working conditions were unbearable by today's standards, yet the hard working American's of this era produced some of the most amazing items ever made.
Manufacturing marks within the glass are part of the charm of this period in time. If there is a manufacturing mark that is out of the ordinary... Such as excessive, contained, bubbles throughout the glass or a manufacturing heat check...
Normal manufacturing marks such as straw marks, stretch marks, enclosed bubbles, light tool marks, though, will not be mentioned and should certainly be anticipated. Look over the many photos provided. If typical manufacturing marks bother you... Please ask questions up front!I will readily answer questions as diligently as I can. It will further your appreciation and hone your interest. I highly recommend David Doty's Carnival Glass Website.
I also find his Field Guides extremely helpful if you can find them, there are several. They are the best guide to learning patterns, especially the 2000 updated version.
I also recommend Edwards and Carwile's Carnival Glass Encyclopedia... There are several editions published. They cover the widest array of patterns of any guide I have seen and the text is excellent. There are other very worthy materials out there that will help you learn and grow, as well as numerous clubs and organizations.
I use premium ONE INCH bubble wrap (not the cheap 1/4 inch) and foam peanuts to package the pieces exclusively. I take great pride in packaging these wonderful pieces of history VERY well... Like they deserve to be packaged and I like them packaged for me. I never know how an item will sell.
My goal, however, is to NEVER have a damaged piece of glass... My feedback comments prove my diligence in that regard. Running No Reserve Auctions do not always allow me to do that...
For repeat buyers I certainly will! I don't advertise it... I just do it when I send the invoice. It is my way of saying THANK YOU!
