Each individual piece was poured, tooled, shaped and colored by hand. When the Great Depression hit, the "pretty glass" fell out of favor and could no longer be afforded by the general public. With the factories full of glass, they were eventually given away as prizes at carnivals and State Fairs. Carnival Glass is pure, classic Americana.

If you are unfamiliar with old, antique glassware, please know that there will sometimes be wear, small scratches, tiny chips called "flea bites" and roughness on certain piece's edges, mould seams and bases. There are also "manufacture marks, " such as tooling marks, "straw" or "sheer" marks, mould imperfections, bubbles, etc. Tiny damage will normally be mentioned for accuracy, because if I can feel it, I will mention it.
